在中山大学攻读博士学位及在北美六年多的研究学习期间，一直从事水循环及以此为基础的碳氮循环研究。2008-2011年以第一作者发表中文论文及IAH红皮书文章共8篇，其中EI论文3篇；2012年至今以第一作者发表SCI论文11篇（10篇论文IF>3.0），其中包括水资源类Ⅰ区论文4篇，水资源类和地学类Ⅱ区论文6篇。
